Default 2004 Passat issues

I have a 2004 Volkswagen Passat with 121,000 miles. Over the last two months, my passat has shut down and went into safe mode twice. This has only happened when I have sad in long lines at fast food places. When I go to accelerate while leaving, the car bucks when changing gears then goes into safe mode. I get it home, shut it down, and it's fine the next day. I've taken it to a repair shop any they could not find anything wrong.

Today, the car died while trying to make a left turn. It stalled and the EPC and battery light came on. My car did take on a lot of water while driving. I shut the car off, restarted, but it would only restart when I gave t some gas. Are these problems related? I swear, I am about ready to get rid of this POS.

Is that safe mode or limp home mode? We need a few more details about your car?

Thanks for the welcome.

I believe it's the limp mode. The mechanic I use says he can't find what I'd wrong. I thought it might be one of the transmission coil but I'm not sure.

I believe the issue yesterday with the EPC light was due to the water on the road getting in the engine.

The issue with the car bucking when I accelerate is a different issue related to possibly a coil. If the EPC light comes on again, I think it may be an electrical sensor issue?

Sorry auto correct is an issue. That should have been transmission coil. Not transmission could.

Sorry I've never heard of transmission coil and Google shows nothing. Coils, Coil packs but not with transmission.

Are you going to add yoru car spec to your signature as you've been asked so we know the exact vehicle your are talking about?
