Gentlemen,

I am planning on buying a 2002 Passat wagon 4WD. Its got 127K miles on it and the only owner has all the service records. I have been reading a lot of bad reviews especially for 2002 & 03 passats. Most of them have to do with the 1.8T's. I plan on using this car as my winter beater simply cause its 4WD.

Now I have never owned a VW before and this would be my first. Wanted to know if its worth putting my money on this car. Any one with past experience with these cars could give me their opinions. In short is it worth it???
