Default 2001 VW Passat Cruise Control

Hello,

I just bought a VW passat and the cruise is not working...

Is there a light on the dash when the cruise is on?

Does anybody know what fuse it is for cruise?

Cheers
Scott

Default Hello

I did a little online research w/o anything diffinitive coming up. I have a 99. My chilton manual covers your year but there is only general knowledge on this subject. I also bought a car w/o a functioning CC and had to check the fuses. There is a legend for the fuse box on a card that is tucked into the cover when you remove it.
the fuse box is at the left end of the dash board. It is the flat side that is covered by the door when it is closed.

Hope this helps you.

Fuse number 5, it is a small 7.5 amp fuse. Yes there is a light that comes on for cruise control. If that doesn't fix it, it is either the speed sensor or the control switch itself.
