My Passat just started making strange noises in the front end. It clunks sometimes when I start moving, and when it's running there is a metal on metal screeching from the front end. The noise is intermittant, staying for a minute at most. It was very loud and noticeable but silences when the car comes to a stop. Could it be some sort of bearing?
