Hi, just took apart my 3rd blown turbo, fins on inlet side completely gone. first blown turbo was due to oil starvation. (my son cracked the oil pan and ran low on oil) I replace it with a k03 aftermarket turbo, twice. both failed within 2 weeks. both had a whine on accel. like a bearing noise within the first day or two after install. I checked for good oil flow to the turbo. today i found silicone deposit partially blocking the return line. question is could a slight blockage on the return side cause this? has anyone had issues with aftermarket turbos? thanks in advance for any help

Were these new or used turbo's. Oil starvatiion is the biggest cause of turbo failure as you've found out.
