VW Jetta Radio not turning on
My car was worked on in Dec. It had a dead battery, when I got it back the radio would not turn on. I went to the shop where they replaced my fuel pump, and the battery. I asked them if they could fix the radio. They had a guy there look at it, said he couldn't do anything about it and take it to a VW dealership. I didn't/don't want to go to a dealership and pay anything if I could fix this myself. I looked into this before, and I read it was because the battery was disconnected from the radio for too long. Now the car thinks the radio was stolen, so it won't even turn on. If there anything I could do? It's been like this since Jan. it's finally getting to me to have silence in the car while driving. BTW the car is a 2003 VW Jetta GLS. I can't get into SAFE mode at all. when I press the **** it doesn't respond. If I have to buy the radio keys to take it out I will, or make my own. Thank you to anyone who responds.

Welcome to the forum.
If its the original VW radio go to a dealer and ask for the radio code. They should give it to you for free, and write it down in case you need it some other time.
