Default under the hood...

under the hood i've located everything but the trannie fluid level stick. can some one send me info or photo on where this is located? also at 70,000 miles my mechanic informs me that it would be a good idea to change/flush out the old ATF and filter. Is this some thing i can do myself in my own garage? if so, where is the filter pan? thanks in advance for all/any response's.

Default RE: under the hood...

you wont find one
you need to pull the fill plug on the pan
with car running pull plug if some fluid comes out then it is full
if not you need to pump some in
DONT USE NORMAL TRANSMITION FLUID
you need vw fluid
