Speed Sensor Location on 01 Jetta auto
Hi, I'm trying to replace the speed sensor on my cousin's 2001 Jetta. It has an automatic transmition. Can anyone tell me where speed sensor is located. We got the part but I can't figure out where it is on the transmitiion. His speedometer isn't working at high speeds and the cruise control stopped working at those speeds so I think it's the sensor. Thanks!!

Well, there is an RPM speed sensor attached to the front side of the block. The other one should on top of your transmission. Mine is a 98 Jetta, so it has two on top of transmission.
Let me me know if you find it...

Hi, what I'm looking for is the sensor on the transmission that sends the data to the speedometer for speed. I've looked everywhere I can see on the transmission and the only sensor I could find was the crank positioning sensor. I'm assuming it's under something where I can't see it but it's not in the Hayes maintenance manual so I'm in desperate need of help. Thanks,
