I went in today for my smog check certification.
The only reason it failed was because of the Cap.
The guy said :
-it might be the sealing?
-it might be the cap?

He also said that some cars have a "meter" of some sort inside the cap?
Anyone know if VolksWagnes have special Gas Caps?
I don't know what to do ) :

I'm thinking of going to the dealer but I know they always over charge there.
I'm also thinking of just buying a new Gas Cap but I don't know if its suppose to be a special one?

Anyone have any advice ?

 

You'll have to get a VW cap. You can get one on pretty much any oem parts website or if you have a euro parts shop they'll probably have one.
