Default shopping list

hello. this is my first post on here. im a jetta IV 1.8t owner, bought her in 2003 and roasted the turbo and got fed up with recalls and repair costs. not to mention a few close fights with the mechanics at the loccal dealership which has since shut down. I hanged the car up two and a half years ago and she never moved the entire time. recently, weve re-financed a couple of loans and I've brought her into the garage and started cleaning her up and I've given my self a 3500 dollar spending cap on getting her back on the road. I just asking....if you had 3500 dollars to drop all at once what would you buy for your jetta? im thinking of doing the k04 upgrade for starters....any suggestions

Thanks for the input guys...the suspension upgrades i can wait on, allthough she does need a drop. ive got some 17s on it allready. ive been browsing around online and heres what ive found
NEUSPEED KO4 TURBO UPGRADE....1,785
FORGE DV SPLITTER 149
TURBO INLET HOSE 164
NEUSPEED COLD AIR INTAKE 189
GREDDY BOOST CONTROLLER 189
COIL PACKS (4) 129
GHL 2.5 DOWNPIPE 289
MAGNAFLOW CAT BACK EXHAUST 439

3333
I DID HOWEVER COME ACROSS A PLUG-IN UNIT THAT ALLOWED YOU TO TUNE BOOST SETTINGS AND OTHER SETTINGS, ILL SWAP OUT THE GREDDY BOOST CONTROLLER FOR THAT BUT HAS ANYONE HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS... http://www.mjmautohaus.com/cat...id=30

Ive thought about internals but Im on the island of hawaii and the closest reputable tuner shops are in honolulu, on Oahu, 500 mi. away. id have to either ship the whole car or yank the motor and ship that (NO WAY). Im not really looking to make crazy boost. just figured that id put a liitle more ***** in the motor. im looking around 240-250whp. Do you think the internals will handle these numbers. ive read that the 1.8t motor is pretty bulletproof and is de-tuned compared to its german counterparts. i also figured that by upgrading the turbo set up to a k04, id get good life out of the motor with a little power benefit, and id have a base to build on later on down the road, should i find an experienced mechanic to get inside the motor. I have a Honda 900RR streetbike thats set up for 1/4 drag and runs low 10s-high 9s so all my speeding issues are handled with that.

I just pulled the stock turbo out and it seems to be fine. i spun the turbine with my finger and it seems to spin smoothly, no binding or anything that would lead me to believe the bearing is bad. The thing is , is when i would run the car at high boost (15psi) it would go and right when it would boost it would sputter like a rev-limiter. but at stock boost it would run fine but seemed to be lacking a little power. i thought it might be the turbo cause i read that the k03s didnt hold up to high boost levels very well and I have maybe 50,000 miles on it boosted and 30,000 before boosting the psi. could it be the cpu
