Default PERFORMANCE

Hey guys I have a friend who has a 2003 Jetta the Wolfsburg edition. Its an auto but he wants to make it a little faster with a little more power. Do you guys have any links to any performance sites ? Any suggestions?

Default RE: PERFORMANCE

Try doing cold air intake (anything is better than the stock
box that's in there, very restrictive and exhaust, no
point in doing just one, make the engine breathe
better. Whatever you do, do not do a cat-back system
it's a waste of money for noise. Get same width exhaust
from downpipe back, go to a good shop, some shops
suck big time at bending and will result in dropping a grand
for a restrictive performance exhaust. Put in a mid shift kit.
Get the computer tuned. Not much you can do without touching
the engine or turbo/superchargers. Turbo is the best
way to go...adjustable power as well. You'll spend
an easy $5000 give or take several hundred smackers.
If not....I also recommend a cam, and rockers.
Don't put in NOS, it's stupid, hard on the engine, dangerous,
and a cheap way to add horsepower (ie. no respect)
