Default Performance 2005 Jetta

Just wondering if there's anything out there I could use to better my performance without spending $$$$? I own a 2005 Jetta and it's really slow in acceleration. Any ideas?

so it's prolly the 2.0 motor. The engine needs to breathe, so get a cold air intake, cold air is better than warm air. Maximise performance by getting the GIAC chip. The GIAC place when you call can give you a list of ppl in your area that will do it. They just reset your ECU with the GIAC software.
There's so much you can do, but alot of it is gonna cost money. Here's the first 4 things you do:
1) Intake
2)Exhaust
3)Underdrive pulleys
4)GIAC chip

cold air intake will NEVER produce 50HP, and I would pray someone proves me wrong on this!!! I'v seen 18HP, and that's most I've ever seen on a dyno.
