well we lost the chilton manual to our 1998 jetta gt and doing a tuneup that went fine ,the cel is still burning bright.wanting to replace the o2 sensor i have no idea where to look, can you help me? we have ran thru the obd codes and this is the last of the possible problems.

 

oh by the way its a 2.0 4 cyl

 

look around the cat. i think thats where one is on your car.....what O2 sensor is it? does it tell you?

 

no it just a general code. is there more than 1 o2 sensor?

 

i do believe there is...im not 100%, but i do believe so. Try getting a bentley manual for your car, itll work better for than any other manual you can get, its what vw techs use. try that, and try looking on vwvortex
