Hello. The wipers work fine. The only problem is when they are turned on, there is a loud low pitched groaning noise coming from the motor. I have looked at the motor and linkage but can't find an obvious problem. It looks pretty easy to replace it, but was wondering if there might be a simple solution since it is only a few years old. Also does anyone know of a reasonable place to buy VW parts? Thank you for any insight.

I am experiencing the same. It is like a whiny groaning sound.
Wipers work great, strong and consistent. Been doing this for 4 years now.
I will disconnect the motor arms and wiper arms shortly and see what is going on. Almost sounds like a dry gear or clutch or something.
