Default New to Driving

Hey guys, I'm new to both driving and this forum, and I just got a 2000 VW Jetta, excellent condition, and would like to start building it up soon, I will have some spare money soon and would like to start with the exhaust, what exhaust would you recommend for it? Thanks for your help.
On a side note, Would should I start off doing to the car, if not exhaust?

It depens on how much you want to spend. I started by putting a new borla exhaust on mine, headers and an INJEN cold air intake. Right now i'm working on brakes, i plan on putting in brembo's. What type of engine do you have in that Jetta??

I believe it is a 1.8, but I could be wrong, the car was debadged when I bought it, or, atleast the back was debadged...

If you have that 1.8T, then you can do many mods to it. I've done some research and saw that engine can handle more than 400HP. Ebay has lots stuff for that type of engine. There is another website, that has really cool stuff. But, i forgot the name of it lol... If i remember the name of it i will let you know.
