Default need help with shifter

i have a 2001 jetta 1.8t my little bro bent the shift rod so i took it to vw and they replaced it for me under warrenty but i want a tougher shift rod i rather not put a short shifter in i never drove wit one i was wondering if anyont knew of a better shifter and also what are sure shifter.

well i know b & m has excellent shifter and for the sure shifter, all that is is a weight and it would change the feel of the shift

yea i know about b&m. but is a short shifter hard to get used to for someone who never drove wit one before and how is neuspeed short shifter

well its not hard at all it is different but, you get used to it fast, you gotta try it sometime, and its a lot of fun, i dont know anything about neuspeed shifter. your shift throw will be shorter and firm.
