Ok, first off I have no clue about Volkswagens or German cars in general. I am a Mazda guy myself. Anyway, I have what I think is a great deal. I know a friend of a friend with a 03 vr6 jetta, the car has 103k on it with these codes: P0300 multiple miss fire, po305 cylinder 5, po303 cylinder 3. I am guessing it is the coil pack, sure it's to convenient for it to be spark plugs, plus they look fine.

This car was was wrecked, he hit a curb so from what I could tell needs new tie rods on right side along with wheel, maybe even control arm. The body of this car is beautiful no damage at all. The interior is pretty nasty, needs a good detail. Also needs a radio. This 03 has been sitting up for around 6 months now. The owner says the car is trashed so he wants 3k for it. I know this is a great car if I fix these few problems. Pretty much he doesn't know what he has. So, I figure I will give him his 3k take the car and fix these problem, I have around a thousand bucks I can spend to get her going again.

How much am I looking to spend to fix these problems? I also heard something about a recall on the coils of these cars?
