LOUD singing noise while in gear
I'm new here but I've got a 2014 Jetta S 2.0 CBPA 5 spd Manual transmission that has just developed a REALLY LOUD singing noise coming from what sounds like the passenger side of the vehicle while it is in gear. It was making a sort of intermittent grinding noise earlier that was present while in gear but coasting and it would go away when I applied the throttle. We just had a cold snap down here in Florida and it stopped making the growling noise while in gear and coasting but now is making that singin noise. when I turned around and went back to the house and had it off I felt the transmission case and it was pretty hot. I pulled the fill plug from the passenger side of the transfer case and there is lubricant in there (pretty dark). I've attached a link to a short video of what was/is happening.

I'm guessing its the transmission but am unsure what or how to proceed. I'm getting some 75W-90 Royal purple gear oil today. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, as I'm stuck at the house for the time being.
Sincerely,
