jetta window recall?
Earlier today, I pressed the switch to "roll up" the front passenger-side window of my 2002 Jetta. I heard a crunching sound, and the window remained in the door frame and quite wide open.
I called an auto body shop, and the ownersaid he seemed to think there was a recall on this issue. Someone else told me the same at work. But a google search, and a search within this site, turned up no mention of a recall.
Has anyone else had this problem, and know of a recall? Or am I out $200+?
Thanks in advance.

re Window recall
I have a 2005 Jetta wagon with a similar issue on the drivers door window. I found the following which states a "extended warrenty" rather than recall. But it also states that it was fixed in 2003 (ha).

The problem that I have is that the widown stays up when I roll it down. But if I put my hand on the window I can slide it down. If not careful it will fall down and be out of the "track" so when I try to raise it I get the mechanizm scratching the glass (not good with film tinted windows).
I've looked-up instructions on removing the front door panel so that I can re-seat the window correctly and re-fit the clamps. I have yet to try that (hope to soon).
