Jetta GLX VR6
I was thinking about buying a 2001 jetta GLX VR6 with 97,000 miles on it. This will be my first volkswagen that I have bought. I was just wondering if there is anything I should be aware of with this car. It is an automatic

Watch out for water pump
Yes, it might leak coolant due to a defected water pump. That costs me $800 to get the pump and themo detector replaced at dealer.
Mine also had battery/wiring issue for several times. Other than these, it's a sweet and powerful car to drive, very solid engine and smooth handling. It's heavy so no fear in wind. Definitely feels the difference if you are driving a Toyota or Honda in the same class now.
