Jetta GL - runs rough in cold weather
My 1989 Jetta GL (1.6L?) gasoline engine has 100K miles and runs like new. I am original owner and regularly service it at at a local VW dealer who does not always know everything-especially on older models.
In very cold weather (20 and below) the car runs rough: stalls, lurches and hestitates even after engine is warmed up. Definately feels like a fuel problem.
Any suggestions?

Finally found the problem. Replaced the MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) and car now
runs trouble free in any cold weather. Since VW no longer can supply this part, found it through Autopartswarehouse.com. (Feb 2012)
