THIS IS THE MOST WOTHLESS CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED. I PAID 8000.00 FOR THE CAR-FIRST THING TO GO WITHIN A WEEK WAS THE AIR FLOW SENSOR AND SOME OTHER CRAP. 1200.00 PAID BY THE DEALER. THEN 3 MONTHS LATER- THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN-THEY TRIED TO SIX IT-NOTHING. I FINALLY HAD AN IMPORT MECHANIC FIX IT AND IT LASTED 6 MONTHS AND ITS DOING IT AGAIN.

I have a 2000 jetta and I love it.. Sure it has problems, as does every other car. In all honesty, I've had my car for almost 2 years and the only thing Ive had to do is a tune up, replaced the original fuel filters, and of course the routine oil changes etc. Mind you, mine is having a few electrical problems, but she still runs great at 103,000 miles.

No problems with my '02 Jetta other than normal wear and tear. Spaceghostking, you've got a lemon, and need to look up the lemon laws in your state and get rid of that car.

You want one made after 2001 as they started galvanizing the sides to prevent rust. Don't get wheels larger than 16's as they will cause the ride to be to rough so the chassis will warp and the doors and dash will rattle. Get the TDI because the 1.8T Does not get good enough mileage and the diesel is definitely worth the extra money. Remember to always use synthetic oil and get the oil changed on time as Jettas are temperamental about having good oil in them. If you live in Tulsa, DO NOT under any circumstances to to Brad Noe, They mess things up and they lie and break things and never fix them.
