i dont know what everything is called on the newer vws so if you could explain alittle it would help ,like say the ssencer on the intake insead of xxxxzr2 sencer and also iv never screwed up and buy one from a auction that already had problems .first i got the car at auction and the motor sounded great untill i got it on the road it wouldnt run over 2000rpm .So it seemed restricted so i popped the cat that did wounders then i got a new o2 sencer then changed oil,plugs,wires,dist cap,and rottor.it now dosent seem to have power till you get the rpms above 3500.It still seems restricted but i can actually rev the rpms on a scale of 0-100 it was runing a 30 now 60 would be a stretch.if it was you what would you think of doing next.i did a compresion test at the moment dont remember what it was but i know it wasnt under 110.any input would be a help thanks.........also it shuts off fine and starts fine i dont think its the timing,but could be wrong i think my problem is caused from previos owner neglect.thanks
