Ignition won't turn

Ignition won't turn
I have a 05 jetta that the ignition won't turn. I turns enough to unlock the steering wheel but won't turn the starter. Any thoughts? I have tried all the jiggling and key works on the doors.

Welcome to the forum Tom. 
Make sure you have enough power in the battery to the ignition switch, check connections. Then it sounds like you have a duff ignition switch.
