Going to buy 1.8 or 2.0

I'm new to Volkswagen and I'm debating weather I want the Jetta with the 1.8 turbo or get the gli and get the 2.0 turbo. My question is are the 2.0's that much better to warrant buying premium grade fuel or should I just go with the 1.8.

I went with the 1.8 and they gave me a lifetime warranty on motor and transmission in WRITING.
