Hello, I am having a recent problem with my Jetta wagon power locks which is intermittent. Sometimes when depressing the remote twice, all 4 doors will not open. They will lock with the remote after you open with the door button.

Now,the kicker is, sometimes when I drive, the locks will engage and disengage, much like they do when you start driving.

My thought is a weak battery might be affecting the locking mechanism, because when I turn the car over after driving in extreme heat, it has a hard time starting. This is when I hear relays clicking and locks engaging.

If I wait a second and try again, it will turn over.


Any ideas???

vw have a vacuum lock system if you have have a hole or one of the connectors is broken then it wont lock or unlock right. just check the line and go from there
