Exclamation Engine Cover '06 GLI

Hey guys,
Me and my friend have been trying to figure out how to get the engine cover off just to take a look at what is underneath. We know you have to remove the clamps off of the air in take and also undo the clips in the top left of whatever valve that is. But, we don't know if there's two different sections of the cover itself or if the whole entire thing pops off. I'm scared I'm going to end up breaking it if I keep pulling, anyone help? Please? Thanks guys.

If anyone can take pictures or something, or put a link in the comments to where I could find out, that'd be great as well!

The engine covers just sit on ball joints that fit in rubber sockets.

Does the whole thing pop off or does it pop in half?
