DIY Painting 2003 Jetta
Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on painting an Mk4 Jetta. I have a few very large paint chips on my bumper strip on the front of my Jetta that really need some attention. I had a can of paint made up, but I am a little unsure about clear coating. I plan to take the entire strip off, but am also not totally clear on how to do that (It is the strip that has the side reflectors attached to).
If anyone knows of any DIY links, it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Test it on a card or something first. After the first coat dries, wet sand it with 500 grit sandpaper. Paint again, and wet sand again and when you get the shiny finish you want just clear coat. You can buy clear coat in can at quite a few places.
