Default Default 2007 Jetta Sedan GLI fender rust

I am new to the forums and Jetta's but am interested in a 07 GLI that has some minor fender rust and lower rocker rust on the driver side. I am told this is normal and possibly a recall was issued. Anyone know of a recall on the fenders? I refuse to buy cars with rust because its almost impossible to repair/replace rust correctly with it costing a ton. Also noticed the headliner was peeling from a couple locations. It has 110k miles on it so just looking for info of what I can expect and what needs to be done.

What will it cost for two 07 Jetta front fenders already painted red? And a interior head liner?

Default Interesting

So it sounds like a crap shoot mostly. Both the fenders are seeing rusting in the exact same location right toward the center of the tire is located. I know I can just hit up a junk yard and find a couple but from what I am hearing there was some class action lawsuit against VW over this issue.

Well according to what you sent me the two fenders are covered. Only way to know is buy the vehicle and bring it in to a dealer I guess.

Or you ask the selling to take it to a dealer for investigation before you buy it.
