Yea so my parents are handing me down there old Jetta and its in great condition considering its about 8 years old. Only problem is that it's automatic and I really don't like driving automatic. How much do you think Volkswagen would charge me to have it changed to manual? Is it even possible?

 

yeah, it's possible to convert it to a manual. But, it will sure cost quite a bit. A junkyard might be the place to start with. Look for a wrecked jetta that has the manual transmission in it. Or, start looking like on ebay... even on ur local craiglist. I'm in the process of swapping the auto transmission on my 98 Jetta for a manual.
I got lucky on finding a wrecked jetta at the junkyard and just got all the accesories and the TCM. I just bought the new manual transmission on germanautoparts.com.
