"Inherited" a 2001 Cabrio convertible but the transmission is shot on it. I wanted to fix it up for my wife but she will not drive manual. Is it possible (and if it is) approximately what would it cost to convert it to an automatic transmission?

It also needs a new clutch.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

Anything is possible if you have the time, MONEY and mechanical expertise to do this task.

Get your wife used to a manual gearbox its going to be cheaper and better for your wife in the long run.
