clutch cable help

Default clutch cable help
I have a 1998 jetta. I'm trying put on the clutch cable. I have spend hours trying put it on have but no luck. i trying connect to the clutch pedal. I have removed the fuse box for more space. Is there something else that i can remove for easy acess?
