Default Check engine light questions..

Hey guys! My wife and I bought a 2001 VW Jetta 1.8 a couple weeks ago, no lights were on and it ran great, absolutely no problem. Now it has been idling odd and the epc light has come on and off twice and now the check engine light is on. I took it to O'Reillys to read the computer and the codes that came up were
P1128, P1297, and P0507.
And when i started it up to leave it died and wouldn't stay running unless I pushed the gas to keep the RPMs up.The guy there told me it was a vaccum leak but I'd like a second opinion...
