check engine light

check engine light
I need "advice." My 2013 VW Jetta GLI's "check engine light" came "on." I think came on because I haven't been in to service it when it hit 10,000 miles. It was already serviced at 8,800 miles, so I ignored the "Service Now" "message. I think that ignoring this has caused the car's computer to make the "check engine light" to come "on." In any event, I think if I reset it and it stays off, then problem "solved." If it comes back on, then I have other engine "issues." Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, where is the fuse located?

Welcome to the forum Rob.
The engine check light (CEL/MIL) is independent of the service light. If its still under warranty as regards the mileage take it into a dealer to be diagnosed and ask them for the error codes found.
You might be able to reset the service light in the MFD settings I can.
