I'm looking into buying a 99' jetta w/ 117m,I test drove it the other day and it almost felt like a manual car, I couldn't really get itup past 30mph cause this guy next to me wasin a rush and I figured I'd come back but it didn't feel like it was shifting???I just might be used to rougher cars cause the rpms weren't high but also when I would take my foot off the gas pedal it slowed down a bit like a stick car would when automatics seem too roll more??I spoke with some one who saidit might feel like that b/c it has more torque? Any thoughts????

I drive a 94 and it acts exactly how you describe. Slows when off the gas and such. Even goin into 4th gear at highway speeds it seems to kind of take off. I'm not sure if this is good or bad so I am curious of the responces Heather gets.
