99 Jetta Wolfsburg...ghost in my machine?
Hi --
My '99 Wolfsburg is doing weird ghost-like stuff -- some of which I realize is normal for VWs, some of which is not so normal and kind of unsafe.
Engine light is on -- no worries. --- Alarm horn beeps three times in a row, out of nowhere, while I'm driving down the road. Not terrible. --- Most odd is the windows that go down after the car is completely turned off and there's no power, in theory, going to any part of the car. I lock the doors and walk away and hear the windows going down on their own...
Any tips? Experience with this? My mechanic said he has no idea what's happening and has never heard of this before.

You need to get your motor scanned for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them.
