First off, thanks for checking my post..

I'm not a car enthusiast so i definitely don't know where the drive train would be if I popped the hood. (or much else for that matter)
I have a 1998 Jetta GT. It's been in the family since it was driven off the lot. no rust, 100,000KM, never been beaten or abused.
One driver all its life.

in the last little while little things have started to pop up..

wondering if they are things (with your help) fix on my own.
I've gone to VW and another shop and had a diagnostic check done and both said they simply dunno whats up.
it's passed all safety and e tests 100% yet these things are happening..

1) if it rains before I use the car or pours REALLY heavy while using the car, it kills the jetta.
The car just doesn't want to turn on. moisture in general seems to do this to the car. (i keep the car in the garage @ all times.. one that has very good air circulation btw)
light rain doesn't affect the car when I'm driving though.

2) if im "city" driving and I pop the A/C on, the car just goes to sleep. but if i turn it off right away and turn the car back on, it's fine.
BUT if i'm "highway" driving and i pop the A/C on, its totally fine.

3) My headlights dont work? but my high beams do? could it just be a loose connection? both don't turn on.
If I were to buy a set of headlights how do i replace them myself?
