i have a 96 jetta and when i bought it it had alot of problems but im tryin to work all the bugs out now but one thats been buggin me that i cant figure out is when i hold a steady 2200rpm there is a beeping noise and i asked a local shop about it and they said it had something to do with the oil pressure. has anyone had this problem before? and how do i fix it? any input would be appreciated thankyou

 

What viscosity (weight) engine oil are you using?
That is a old vehicle and most likely has a little engine
wear, try a heaver viscosity engine oil, like 20w-50.
