Default 87 jetta no power to fuel pump help

I'm working on an 87 Jetta 1.8 signal cam and there is no power to fuel pump. All of the fuses look good. When it died it was like it was out of gas it started a couple times but now it wont start at all. I got it to fire with spraying carb cleaner in the intake . Im not sure if it is a relay or something else. Any help? Please

That video only shows you how to check a relay not how to diagnose problems or check components you need to find someone with VAG-COM\VCDS to so a scan for any error codes logged in the ecu.
