2007 jetta 2.0t oil pressure problems
Ok so i bought it with the problem the oil pressure light on, it comes on at 1400-1600 rpm, flashing, makes a beep 3 times in a row then goes off after i get off that rpm, ive changed oil the guy that had it apparantly had the sensor checked and it wasnt that so any other ideas? Ive ran stuff in the oil to clean any gunk in the pick up tube any it hasnt gotten any better

Welcome to the forum.
VAG TDI engines suffer with bad oil pumps there is a mod to change them from chain to gear.
You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.

i am not an expert on this particular engine however basic mechanics would say that if there are no codes in the system and the oil pressure sender checks out then it might be the actual pump that is failing. it could be due to something floating around in the pan preventing the pick up from getting its full flow or it might just be wearing out. hopefully it is just a simple fix as this is an expensive unit to replace
