Default 2003 Jetta 1.8T

Can anyone help me by telling me what the ARS button is for? I just bought a 2003 Jetta 1.8T used and it did not come with a manual.

ARS button equals more fun button!! no, really its for stability of sorts and most people, while racing or what not (legally of course) will het that button. if it glows yellow, it is off, therefore, you have more of the feel of whats happening instead of being forced to be stable....i do believe

kind of traction control of sorts, if you start to spin or almost spin, it'll take power away from the wheels to keep them frimly on the pavement, which sucks if youre trying to race because youll lose power when trying to really run it, if you turn it off, you can run harder with full power and even break lose. im in the habit of turning it off everytime i get in now, minus rainy days
