2001 jetta vr6 noise/vibration HELP !
Here is the problem:
vibration and noise from 900rpm-1500rpm
get on it a little and it disapears until 3000-3500rpm
im aware of the famous chain tensionor on these vr6 motors breaking and causing slack in the chain and vibration/noise. How ever it is not as consistant or noticable as many vid clips and audio clips i have seen/heard or described as bad.
so i noticed my motor isnt exactly level....... could this vibration be caused by a broken motor mount? with the noise to follow.... also could it be a belt tensioner and timing belt (i know the belt wont make noice but the pulley and tensior may cause it) .... also it seems to be coming from passenger side of motor ... and the timing chains are on the driver side......im stumped, i just bought the car too (first VW)
also its a 5 speed, if thats another factor for figuring out my problem ... THANKS !!!!
