2000 TDI check engine light

Default 2000 TDI check engine light
I'm getting code P1557. What is causing this? The code says Manufacturer Controlled Vehicle Speed, Idle Control, and Auxiliary inputs. Is this a sensor problem?

I've got P1557 as charge pressure control positive deviation. Your description would suggest to me that it is the throttle control module which requires replacing the whole throttle body.
