Hi Guys,

Just found this forum, I have a 2000 (x-reg) VW bora (like Jetta in the US) 1.9 TDi diesel. It's the 90ps model. The engine management light has been intermittently flashing for the past day or so, and I am trying to figure out what the likely cause of this could be. The handbook suggests getting this looked at at my local dealer, but i'd prefer to eliminate obvious possible problems before parting with my hard earned. Do any of you guys have experience of this kind of problem?

I am located in South Birmingham (UK), if anyone can offer advice, or knows a local mechanic or specialist who would be able to help, I'd be really grateful.
