Ive got a 1999.5 jetta 2.0. We have had this for 7 months now i and i noticed when you shut the door when the lights dim out there is a whining or hissing noise coming from the dash and then 0ne or two seconds later the passenger door buttons illuminate. that is only when the car is off and unlocked. when it is running or the security system is activated it doesn't do it.
