Hey everyone, I'm new and I really need some help with a problem my 1996 Jetta GL is now experiencing.

Yesterday I was merging onto the highway and my windshield wipers turned on by themselves. I tried to turn them off but they remained on. Not only this, but I noticed that my Tachometer had stopped working and my Engine Oil light had begun blinking. Currently, the tachometer seems to be working again, and the oil light turns off, but the wiper blades keep going. I've checked my fuses and I noticed that there may be some moisture around that area.

So, can anyone give me some advice on which way to go to try and fix this myself?
