I looked at my package of tape, its actually called Magic Wrap. Below is a link showing what it looks like. Dont order from the link because the price is outrageous:eek: I bought mine from walmart for around $9.00. Its in the hardware plumbing dept. I also seen it at Lowes, in the plumbing section but dont remember the price.

Heres how I did it.
First I cleaned the outside of the air duct hose. Then I cut a large enought piece of magic wrap to cover the busted area by wrapping the magic wrap around the hose to cover the tear fully. You first stretch the magic wrap and it shrinks while its being wrapped. After I fully cover the busted area with the wrap I got 4 large black cable ties and evenly spaced it around the wrap at the ends and near the middle.

Its very strong and a little flexible too. The tape is a strong rubber tape.
Its holds great with the cable ties, the engine vibes dont bother it at all,
neither does the heat from the engine...
