Hi just bought my 1990 VW Jetta GL with 20,000 miles. Beautiful costum red an black paint, matching interior and rims. Cosmetically, ready for car shows. But under the hood is an ugly 1.8 liter stock engine. Runs great, but not really what I want for this car. I want fast, and this is my first project so I’m a little lost. Not to many specifics for this car on websites, I read that not to many of them were made. Any help on some first steps to improving my hp and overall performance on the beater engine I have under my hood would be really appreciated. I need specifics.. cuz I’m new to all this. Thank you
