Default 07 Jetta Wolfsburg

My wife and I just purchased a second vehicle the 07 Jetta 2.5. It came "certified" with 45k on it for $13000. The dealer claimed the oil was changed and everything was tuned up being certified but the wrench light flashes for a few seconds every time I start the car.

Should I still get an oil change and change the spark plugs immediately? And Ive read the coil packs can go bad in these cars should I also get new ones of those? Ive always owned a Toyota so know nothing about VWs.... Thanks.

I have an 07 Wolfsburg and my "wrench" flashes about eight times on startup and goes away then the odometer appears. I think it has always done that. I never really thought anything of it since it goes away. I figure it is just part of the startup built-in test and is normal. I could be wrong though.

Angry ughhh

Its already in the shop! Day three and the gas peddle got stuck multiple times and my wife and son almost got hit. The gas peddle would not go DOWN.. wasn't stuck accelerating.. Any ideas? I feel like returning the car.. instead of them just repairing it..

Sounds, like the cables that go to the throttle got stuck or something happened on the peddle. Is that still under warranty??
