I have a 2000 jetta 2.0 and a 2007 2.5 that I recently purchased last year. my question is about the 07 a/c. let me add my dad has and 07 wolfsburg and he has the same problem and when I went a test drove another one to see it did the same thing. First when you first turn on the air is doesn't seem to blow cold for several blocks then when it starts to blow you get a wierd smell for a bit but the main problem is with both mine and my Dads is it doesn't get anywhere near as cold as my 2000 which is like ice they both get what i would say is cool but not cold. I assume it might be the car if both of ours do it and another one I drove did it must be a problem with all of them. How many of you have this problem and can it be fixed? I read on the internet that the new 2011 jetta they insulated the ducts and they didn't do that with ours they said this in a review of the 2011. I wonder if that is part of the problem. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks
